Energy-Saving Wonder – new efficiency class for aluminium melting furnaces
The new PurEfficiency series of aluminium shaft melting furnace from the StrikoWestofen Group consumes only 525 kWh of energy when melting and holding one tonne of aluminium, and is thus categorised in a never before achieved energy-efficiency class. Values such as this have otherwise only been achieved with the use of costly regenerative combustion systems. The furnace was developed as part of a development project promoted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics.
